An art gallery was the dream of the members of the Dryden Regional Arts Council, DRAC, for over 5 years. In late January 2009, DRAC began discussing the possibility of renting space in the Dryden District Chamber of Commerce building. What followed was a whirlwind of phone calls and meetings to discuss how this could become a reality. Though some may have felt we dove headfirst into this blindly, it was definitely done with wild enthusiasm. In yet another whirlwind, the large task of renovating and transforming the space into a workable gallery was tackled head on by 12 core members of DRAC. With a great sigh of satisfaction, the doors were opened on May 1, 2009. Stop in on your next visit to the Dryden area and see what Dryden has been boasting about!
